Allopathic Physician (M.D)

Duties and Responsibilities: Physicians examine patients; obtain medical histories; order, perform and interpret diagnostic tests; and prescribe and administer treatment for people suffering from injury or disease.  They counsel patients about illness, injuries, health conditions and preventive healthcare. They can also conduct medical research, teach and run medical centers.  People with medical education are in demand in many areas.  Physicians work in one or more specialties, including, among others: Anesthesiology, Family and general medicine, Surgery.

Salary; Average 163,510 $

Education: Most MD programs require 4 years of study, including emphasis on basic science, clinical work, and social science. The first two years of most programs are generally aimed at classroom learning of basic science as it relates to medicine.  Subsequent years of most programs then focus on clinical training.

Reflection: I would want to be a allopathic physician because they get paid good money and because they do things that interest me.

Reflection: I wouldn't want to be a acupuncture person because I don’t like it and because I think that it is boring. I wouldn't want to be a acupressure. I wouldn't want to be a acupressure because I think that this is a job for a person that is more like for a girl.

Ophthalmologist

Duties and Responsibilities: Ophthalmologists are physicians who specialize in the special treatment of eye disorders and dieses. Most ophthalmologist are in private practice, however some are employed by hospitals or clinics, and others preform research.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Only physicians may study to become ophthalmologist. After completing medical school and an internship, an ophthalmologists must then complete a three to five year residency in an approved ophthalmology program. After completing their residency program they must pass an examination to be certified.

 REFLECTION: I would not want to be a ophthalmologist because I don’t really find being one very interesting.
